The eggtraorinary excellent egg models wowed parents, carers, teachers and pupils this week. Well done to everyone who took part you had some ingenious ideas. We were really impressed!

Look out for posters advertising lunch time library club for juniors. Anyone can come along and spend time choosing books and reading with their friends. Mrs Lupton will help you choose books and you can be the first to read new books as they come in to school. Let us know what you’re interested in and we’ll find the book for you.
The year 6 team played Greenfields Primary School on Monday and despite a very strong performance by everyone lost 3 – 1. I was really impressed with their very positive attitude and team spirit throughout the game.

A huge thank you to the staff who organised the comic relief activities at school this week. Pupils had the chance to make cakes for the daily cake stalls, design a comic relief picture, have their faces painted and dress up in red as well as be entertained by the choirs’ comic relief alternative pop video.
Altogether we raised £550! Well done everybody and thank you for every one who made a donation.

Some members of the fire service visited Horowitz today. We were able to learn lots about staying safe as pedestrians, safety in the car and how best to react in a fire situation to help yourself and others. Today we’ve had lots of fun learning all about South America. We started our day by researching online. We used our research to put together a BBC style news report. We listened to South American music and also played South American instruments, which were made by recycling all sorts of materials such as goats, wood, vegetables and even bones! Oh and also we worked together with Pullman to create our very own Amazon rainforest. Phew!
